A unique opportunity:

  • The Maine Building is a promotional and sales opportunity where Maine-based small businesses, and organizations showcase the state’s natural resources, local makers, and cultural experiences. Applying and being selected to represent Maine gives exhibitors the chance to reach thousands of fairgoers from across the northeast, and to make year-round customer relationships.
  • The Maine Department of Agriculture, Conservation & Forestry owns and manages the 100-year old exhibit building on the Big E fairgrounds.
  • More than 30 Maine brands and organizations are featured in the Maine Building each year. Exhibitors rent retail space to operate pop-up shops for the full 17 days of the fair or for shorter periods. Some collaborate with other Maine businesses, while others independently sell and promote their products. In addition, at least a dozen Maine brands participate in the fair’s year-round consignment shop.

  • The Big E Fair is an event organized by the Eastern States Exposition, an agricultural nonprofit and events complex in West Springfield, Massachusetts.

  • The fair offers opportunities to participate in agricultural competitions, parades, sponsorships, and on-site entertainment. It also features the Avenue of States, where each New England state, along with the New England Grange, operates its own building that is open to the public during the fair.
