Open Farm Day Ideas – Peer Panel Webinar with Q and A

Open Farm Day host farms who want to share event planning ideas, network with  peers, and get a refresher about planning resources are encouraged to attend the upcoming webinar.

When: 4:00 PM, Wednesday, April 17, 2024

How to participate in the webinar:

• Sign up your farm for Maine’s Open Farm Day by April 15 for webinar invite
• On April 17, Open Farm Day organizers will email a link to join the online meeting. 
• If you don’t receive your invite on April 17 by 3 p.m., please email organizersfor help. 
• It’s recommended attendees join live from a computer or mobile device for this interactive online meeting.

How to Sign up for Maine’s Open Farm Day

The sign up steps are different for farms that already have a Real Maine account and farms that are not yet Real Maine members.

• Unsure if you have an account? Start here: Search for your farm on RealMaine.com 
• Existing members, please opt-in to Open Farm Day and follow these steps 
• If you are not a member, please sign up for Open Farm Day and create a Real Maine member account by following these steps

After you sign up: use the event resources to guide your planning. You are welcome to read about promotions and see the growing list of farms.

• If you prefer, you can also log into the Real Maine Member Portal to sign up for this event when you’re making other profile updates, or even submitting calendar event requests. Follow these instructions for a refresher on signing up via the Member Portal.

Avoid a duplication – Double check to see if you’re already listed on RealMaine.com  ** Use this form to join Real Maine and sign up for Open Farm Day Add all the required information Click the submit button You will receive a membership confirmation and approval (typically within one to three business days) After your membership approval you may log into the Member Portal to make additional updates, submit a calendar event, etc.** **Feel free to use the How – To materials or email Real Maine if you need help.

About Open Farm Day Promotions | View List of Farms

• If you want to be included in Real Maine’s Open Farm Day promotions, you must opt in by May 1, 2024.
• View the curent list of 2024 host farms Reminder: Updates typically happen after a weeknight database refresh. It may take at least 24 hours to view the updates at the Real Maine website.  Contact us for help 
• Real Maine offers statewide promotions (print, radio, web and news stories) to encourage visitors to meet participating farms on Open Farm Day. 
• Real Maine’s summer print publication includes Open Farm Day host farms and the business name, town and Real Maine membership contact info View past publications for examples
• You can submit a customized description and event hours to appear on the online event calendar. Most farms are open 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, but they have the option to customize their schedule.
• Use the “Submit an Event” feature in the member portal Tip: submit any event requests at least 3-4 weeks – if not sooner – before an event date.
